3/4" PVC Snap On Tee, Snap X Slip

As you can see in the pictures this Tee slip over the open end of 3/4" PVC pipe or Snap over if no ends of the PVC pipe are open. The end coming off is a 3/4" slip but it is closed to any water flow.

These fittings are used to go over existing pipe which are on benches, tables or concrete floors in green houses. When doing this a small length of pipe is glued into the open end and it acts as a "foot" to keep risers on the main line from leaning over which in turn will disrupt an even watering pattern. A small bit of glue can be applied on the open fitting to keep it from slipping but it fits pretty tight so check your application first to see if it needs glue at all.

  • Schedule 40 PVC fittings are the standard for use in irrigation systems, both for Drip Irrigation and Sprinkler Irrigation.

    When installing a few simple rules apply.

    • If gluing make sure both parts are clean then coat both parts with a thin layer of PVC glue.
    • If pipe is old or has been exposed to weather use a PVC cleaner first.
    • If both fittings are threaded use two to three wraps of teflon tape on the male threads before screwing together.
    • If threading a softer plastic piece to threaded PVC teflon tape is not normally needed but one or two wraps maximum may be used. Most softer plastic in this situation will be a black color.
    • Grey sprinkler risers should always be installed with teflon tape.
